Tuesday Nov. 8: Day 1

10:00am - 10:45am: Tools Overview -- From the Ground to the Cloud
Google Earth Engine, Earth Builder, Open Data Kit, Fusion Tables

10:45am - 11:15am  - Intro to Open Data Kit (ODK) 
Open Data Kit is a set of tools that allows you to collect text, photos, videos, and data from an Android device where there's no internet connection and then publish that data to the web when you're back online. Using Android phones, we'll learn how to use ODK Collect to collect field data.

You've gathered your field data. In this session, upload your data to cloud storage. Then learn how to export your data into Google Fusion Tables and Google Earth for mapping and visualization. Publish and share your results for the world to see.

1:30pm: Introduction to Fusion Tables
Learn how to use Google Fusion Tables to import your data and visualize it as a map. In this session, you'll import data, perform customized styling functions, learn about importing from shapefiles and pubilshing your data to a website.

3:15pm- 4:00pm: Google Earth Engine 
In this session, you'll learn the background behind Google Earth Engine as well as how to apply this technology for deforestation.

Learn about the latest product available from Google's Geo team, Google Earth Builder allows you to store and manage your imagery and GIS data in the cloud.
